Not sure where to post this.
God bless our Veterans every day, but especially today. Those that are homeless, mistreated, the heroes and the misfits. God loves you all the same.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

May the lord walk with all our veterans especially today.
like so many I realize we are all brothers and sisters, few who have never worn uniform will ever understand that bond.
One day I hope to be licensed as a clinical mental health counselor and my preferred population is our military current, past and future and their families as challenges in veterans in lives affect all.
May today you be able to enjoy the day and the reminders of past experiences be still and silent.

I have a question for some thouht I had today and it kind of gives me a quezzy felling. Sense the big O is the commander and cheif of the arm forces does that make him a veteran also? Seriously about this and I not asking to make anyone mad but it just seems ----- you know weird.

Today I had the honor of saluting a 92 year old vet.
Yes he now has alzheimers but when I stood at ATTENTION and gave him my finest salute this Old Army vet suddenly sat up straight in the car smiled and delivered a great return.
His grandson said the old man only babbled about his past life and has no idea of how the VA might ever help him as he never did anything to deserve any treatment.
Never did anything sunny?
Try driving an Army truck over the hump in Burma during WW2.
Tomorrow I will make some phone calls to see what can be done for this 92 year old vet because his family doesen't seem to know what to do with/for him.
Yes Alz robs folks of recent memory but not great long past ones.

This pleases me.
It has been quite a long time for me, so I had kinda forgotten how suddenly those things make their arrival known ...

O did not serve. Being CIC is an honorific title. Besides, we wouldn't have him. [smilie=s:

If he had served in the Navy I doubt he could swim that far.
