Sure. I prefer the Burris FastFire III and an Allchin mount. Can't get much lower...

I have several 629's + one 29 & one 69 all have various red dot sights installed , I prefer RDS over scopes.
Weingand makes the nicest base ! if using the delta point or other small RDS ? try the Allchin base from Brownells

I have the non GC Saeco #420- 200 gr TC that's accurate from every 44 mag i tried it in .

I have met the head honcho of the company and after chatting with him on several occasions I will never buy another product from them again.
What kind of name is Sky anyway? A Boulder CO hippie name or something?
The flagship of CO businesses in the firearms industry was Redfield and American Target Company.
You can throw MH Canjar in there too. Plus one for them.

I'll stick with the lady that now owns the water purification company that also makes riflescopes but hates that end of the business.

Weingand makes a fantastic mount and rings. The owner and the daughter have been awfully pleasant to deal with on many occasions

I used a Leupold 2x in Leupold mounts.

Back then I was using a 210 gr Lyman mold, RNFPGC. Worked fine in the M29. Looked like the standard Lyman 44-40 bullet but with a gas check. Will see if I can find the mould number. I dont think they make it, but used may be available.

I have a Mdl 629-3 Classic DX 5" with a 4X Leupold EER scope in Leupold mounts. I have taken several deer and coyotes with this combination, but I really use this combo mostly for benchrest work now with new boolits I am always trying and new powders as well. I now use a 629-3 Classic DX 5" with a Hi-Viz front site, for hunting. (That piece used to belong to my wife during the sillywet days of yesteryear, she claims it's still hers,). I find the fiber optic to be a better all arounf choice for handgun hunting than any scope or Red Dot. YMMV.
