Limits of a 350gr ranch dog at 1200fps

I have a few good loads but am tired of getting beat up. Inside 100 yards is this good for larger game? Thanks

Just shot a deer with a 45 ACP rifle with a 260 grain bullet with same size meplat at 1300 fps. He was down in 30 yards. So yep shouldn't have a problem at 100 yards

that 1200 fps is pretty close to what the 454 casull would do with nearly the same weight boolit.

I have never done it but would have no doubt it would be fine.

That boolit at a MV of 1200 will even work just fine on elk out to 75 yards.

You are better off then going faster. Even trajectory to 100 will not be bad.

black bear just look big and tough in reality a sideways shot is more like shooting a deer, you just have a bit more hair and skin to get through.
out to 100 yds I think either an elk or deer/bear would be doable without too much drama as long as you don't try to drive it lengthways through one.
a raking shot into the lungs shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Well if we consider the old 45-60 cartridge it was considered a fine big game (elk, bear) cartridge out to 100 and 150 yards with good shooting. Your ballistics pretty well match a 45-60 with a 300 grain bullet so actually you are just a few thwaps louder on impact. Just be sure you can hit it right.
