Look at what my sweetheart just made for me. It is very chilly here in Cherry Valley this morning and nothing goes down better on a cool morning than warm cookies with a glass of cold milk.

Oatmeal cookies? Works for me for breakfast! I used to make them with pieces of dried fruit, grabbed 3-4 on the way out the door to work.

Amazing how the cooler weather of fall gets the baking started. SWMBO made some pumpkin/raisin/something-or-other cookies last night. Just another reason fall and early winter is the best time of year.

Those would have been good. It was pretty cool down here in Fontucky this morning and we had a few little drops of rain but the sun did make it out just long enough to be a tease. It feels much colder than 55 degrees. This weather feels like an abrupt change going from the 80's and dark at 7pm to 60's and dark at 5-5:30 pm with the time change and shorter days. At this rate, I will need to break out a jacket and the hot coco by the end of the week :lol:

Any body ever bake a cookie that's called locally "tea cakes?" When I was a kid my Mother made them and now on occasion my MBH makes them. They are so good!
