Well, it's kinda cold and snowy today, so I'm inside on the computer. While perusing this forum, I noticed that no one has yet praised Ruger for finally making a Blackhawk Bisley in .454. I own two .454 Redhawks (the & 7 1/2 in and 5 in Toklat). I've been wondering for a long time why Ruger didn't make the Blackhawk in a .454 or .480 . . . Well . . . now they finally do. I got mine about a month ago and am very happy with it. The Bisley grip is perfect for this gun. I actually enjoy shooting it more than the Redhawks. Thank you Ruger for a job well done.152570152571

Those Bisleys are sweet for sure. I wonder why Ruger has never promoted them very much?

The only problem I saw is the $1,000 price tag.

Paralaska you realize the Redhawk and Super Redhawk are not the same, right? To the best of my knowledge Ruger has never offered the Redhawk in .454 or Toklat version.

I have one other gun to get and then my next gun purchase will be one of the new 454 Bisley Rugers. How well is yours handling cast? Did you have to get the cylinders opened up a bit or were they fine as is?

I just finished rebuilding a 1969 Blackhawk 357.
It sat behind a toilet tank for 25 years. (the ole man had a gun in every room)
Darn study hand cannon, once I got it working again

I just got the .454 and cannot wait to take it out! Paid quite a bit less than $1000 too... These are very nice 5-shooters.

Cornbread all my cylinder throats measured really consistently at .477"

off topic--I thought I was the only one with gun in every room...now NEW house is too big so I need more guns HA-
Rugers are fine revolvers for sure, not a fan of the Autos but for wheel guns , they are very hard to beat..
