The inside dia of the new plastic shells are .775.
My paper wads are about .787 to .790 and make the shell swell..

So I took the my paper wads and soak the in water for about 30 sec then size them through . 775 aluminum tube. Then let them dry

If you leave them in to long they separate into 3 wads at about .060 thick ,those will be used at the very end of my load and glued in

I can’t find any paper wads at .775 plastic yes paper no

I have a plan to make a wad punch any size I want if I need to.

The cannon will come in about month so will wait to make a blank

Still looking for 10ga brass

This may be a silly question: but what size are 11 gauge wads?

We always read that brass 12 gauge shells may need 11 gauge wads to perform correctly, so maybe an 11 will fit in a ten gauge plastic shell???

Well that was an eye opener. I looked at Circlefly's Wad Sizing Chart http://www.circlefly.com/html/wad_sizing_chart.html
and it appears you are using a 7 gauge wad right now.

Anyway, I hope the link helps,

Robert
