Can anyone tell me the easiest way to slug an 1894 Marlin(44 magnum)?? Chamber end, or muizzle end?? Or both?? Tom.

This thread should show how to pull the lever and bolt AND the ejector spring.

I would scrub the bore first and then slug from the chamber end. Wrap lots of electric tape around your steel rod and then check to make sure the rod goes through before putting a boolit in the bore. Lube the bore with some case lube on a patch. Lube the boolits up with some case lube and nock them all the way through. You should be able to feel any tight spots; just something to take note of for today, don't worry too much if you feel them. You need to get some rounds down range before worrying about that stuff.
