Freights got to be costly.

Depends. Someone located near the seller, could possible score a biggie here. A group buy would not be out of the question. Sounds like the seller don't want to bother with 50# boxes. Anyone out there from "DE" listening in??????
I'd hate to see that go to waste......................Lee:wink:

................It does say, "Brand new 60/40 tin/lead anodes. We have 250 lbs of electroplating grade anode material. Will be shipped freight collect via Conway Transportation services or as requested by the buyer at buyer's expense.

It could be put into 4 flat rate boxes with about 63 lbs each.

I was thinking someone should pick it up, but it seems so far nobody lives close enough. You could stuff 20lbs in a prepaid $8.95 USPS priority box and make 12 of us happy campers. Do it any way you want if that too much alloy for you....Geo

I've got the current high bid.

I'll repackage and ship in flat rate boxes if I get a decent price.

I contacted them too, as I get a pretty serious discount with Conway through my business.

No answer yet.

I am working in Maryland and Delaware is fairly close. If the price doesn't go to high, and if they will let me pick it up I might toss in a bid or two.

The guy/gal has never replyed to my question so I won't bid on it. I can have it shipped for $91.00 but it has to be in 2 boxes. But don't really matter he won't contact me.

One of "US" should get this; the price is low! Who here is bidding? I'd hate to bid against a member from here. I checked carefully and looks like the auction is for the lot, not by the pounds; it is only around $10 now! Should go hundreds higher than that!

I'd like some of this, if one of "US" gets it!

I just looked at the link and it said auction was stopped by the seller.
Is the link not working right for me or is this ended?

Looks to me like an ebay chicken-s**t seller, as it says there was an "error in minimum bid or reserve." I think it's BS when there's a hidden reserve—if you don't want to sell it for less than a certain amount, make that the opening bid. If I think it's worth more than that, I'll bid higher...and you're not wasting my time. At the same time, if you're not willing to sell it for what the final bid is, you're abusing the system.

They reposted it with a reserve. Maybe the lttle light came on after too many messages asking about it.

They have it listed under solder

Whether the light finally came on or not, it's the same issue...

If they won't take less than $XX, they ought to make that amount the starting bid. I don't play the reserve not met game. It's not how I run my business; and I won't waste my time upping my bid by $5 a pop until I see what they want as a reserve.

my guess is $10.00 per lbs like the ad said clint
