Chochran flint lock

WL Cochran flintlock.I have one with Hawken parts from the 90s.any good?I got the kit in trade and don't want the .54 hawken kit but wondered if the lock was good to go.

Yes, it's a good lock.

Years ago, I used several of the Cochran kits both in percussion and flint on custom builds and they all were good locks and functioned very well. In those days, they were very reasonably priced and were a nice design.

I have a pair of them on a double flintlock and have no complaints.
