Winchester 1886 45-70 (1997 vintage) Arrived + Porn

One of the Winchester 1886 45-70's (non take down) rifles arrived today. :-D This one was made in 1997 and was new in the box.
Cleaning her up and headed to the range.

Just got back from the range and the rifle shot and functioned great! I ran a box of Remington 405 grain jacketed through her to break in the barrel. Can't wait to shoot some cast bullets.

..............That's a very fine looking rifle. A friend of mine has his grand dad's '86. His has a shotgun butt, and a 28" tapered oct bbl. It's heavy enough as it is, but stuff that tube full of 45-70's and ye-ouch! :-). Need a gun bearer.

They were sure great rifles. Cost a bunch to make too.
