I have a High Standard K-120 (12 ga pump) and I'd like to replace the existing bead. Thread appears to be 4-48. Midway offers this kit: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1852167444/truglo-long-bead-front-sight-shotgun-universal-fit-fiber-optic
But they don't publish the thread sizes. I can drill and tap to the next size up but would rather not if there is a drop-in part available. Does anyone know what thread sizes are included in this kit?
I have emailed Truglo and Midway but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

to the best of my knowledge the only American shotgun sight threads are 3-56 and 6-48. there may be a few 8-40 out there but I have never seen any.

I've found replacement beads threaded to #3, 5 and 6 but nothing in #4. It was made in the mid 60s and H-S seemed to do things their own way. Maybe I'll just drill it out and tap it to 5-40.

Mossberg is the 5/40
most others are either 3/56 or 6/48
HiVIZ makes a replacement kit Called the "Spark 2 Front Sight" that comes with all the thread adapters in the three thread sizes

Yeah, the HiViz kit is cheap enough to give it a try. I have the taps if need be.

My High Standard Flite King has 4-48 threads on the bead.
