Can anyone help with a starting load using H335 for these?
151775

They are cast from Lee's 225-55 mold, ~13 BHN, gas checked, powder coated, and sized to .225. I don't have a clue as to the COL for this profile. I have seen a bit of info on the Bator, but not this mold. I hope this will replace my Hornady 55 gr FMJBT plinking load.
Thanks,
Fred

Start at 17.5 grains. Best accuracy will be right around where they cycle the gun.
OAL should be around 2.180" (that's where I load the RCBS 225-55, very similar boolit).

Lee should have all the info you need to load their bullet. Call them.

I use this 55g lee for a plinker as well. Im loading at COL of 1.100" but have shot longer then 1.180 as well. The bator gave huge groups in my chamber.

I bake my PC at 400 for 20 mins, then turn up the PID on my convection oven to 460 for 30 mins to heat treat then quench in cold water for hardening.

I run TAC at about 18 grains and get under 2" which works great for hitting a 6" gong at 100yds.

I have gone all the way up to 22 grains of TAC with my HT'd alloy before groups started to open up. But as a 22LR replacement, just enough to cycle and lock the bolt back on the last shot is where its at.
