can you tell me what this is worth i have a very nice built like a tank Herter's super model 3 with a #5 shell holder
help me put a price on this before i mount it to my bench

I agree with Grasslander as to the dollar value. The true value is in the use of the press. They are hardly rare, but perfectly utilitarian.

Especially since it has the primer catcher-which never worked for me !
Step ahead of the RCBS tub system.
But primers have a plan all of their own.
Have two sitting on the garage floor waiting for a 'place'.

Hi,
I would not give it away, unless it was to get a youngster into the game, which is not a bad idea!

They are not pretty, but it is a stout press, and will resize any brass you can fit in it, if bolted to a good bench!!!

I have one I bought new in the early 1960's and its still going strong !!!! Bolted to a good bench it has never failed me.

Save the #3 , you can get 45 brass all day long, year in year out.....Herter's presses are not coming back. And you just never know when you're going to need a hell for stout single stage press one day.
Keep it and no down the road seller's remorse.
