this is at 100 yards
1 its a little low of the red diamond(about 1"). so i crank it up 2 clicks.
2 is right on the target, but i would like it about an inch high. so i crank it up 2 more clicks.
3 i pulledhttp://www.marlinowners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif
4 and 5 was about a 1/2" high and 1/2" to the right. so i crank the scope 3 clicks up and 3 clicks to the left.
6 i really pulledhttp://www.marlinowners.com/forum/images/smilies/new/ahhhhh.gif
7, 8 and 10 are just about right
9 i pulled also.http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/images/smilies/new/hmmmm.gif

i was out of rounds so i just clicked it to the right 1 time. it should be perfect.

i put my fist down and covered all the .430" holes and i'm pretty sure that i can take out the deer's heart. i realize that the rel7 can take a bunch more powder than the 444 case, but i'm disabled(stroke, right arm/leg don't work) and its really only good to about 150 yards. 50 yards is more like it!!! if anybody can do a quickload, i would really appreciate it!!!
23" mgm barrel
1 in 20" twist
rel7 41.0gr

i'm just wondering how fast it is going.

I am shooting mine in a Handy rifle. Lee .430 310 gr gas checked over 13 grains of Red Dot. Pretty easy on the shoulder and had some nice tight groups sighting in. Including a really nice 3 shot cloverleaf a 25, almost had another at 75 yards but I pulled one an inch right.

Fun cartridge to play with.

Don't know how fast your going, but looks like you have an accurate load worked out for sure.

Now go find that deer!!

Kinda inspiring,I'm a left side Hemiplegic, leg and arm so seeing others still doing it,is inspiring so I've been getting my blind set up and l've went with a 45/70 Government any suggestions on loads and bullets for the T/C Encore with 15"barrel.??I'm looking for Minute- of-deer@75 yards.

i have a 45-70 in a handi-rifle. i was shooting 405gr fbfn( http://www.moyerscastbullets.com/rifle.html ) with a load of h4198. it was going 1400fps. rel7 and 2400(if you can find it!!!) are good also. try the trapdoor loads. i'd stay away from marlin '95 and ruger #1 loads...they will hurt you!!! trust me, I KNOW!!!
i think i'm going to try the 350gr ranch dog with the trapdoor loads. i think 1600-1700fps is more than enough. maybe even 1500fps, i'll have to chew on that one.

i had a stroke three years ago and my right arm/leg only has like 20% good while my speech is less then 20%. the first year was really rough on me. i couldn't go back to work, which i loved to do. shooting was hard because after the stroke, i began flinching. it seemed like every shot, i would flinch. i it do every once in a while, but now i can call it(notice the p's on each shot:oops:).

it's nice to see others like me, going out and doing what we love best....shooting and huntin'!!!!!
