Price Check--Martini auction--W.W. Greener

My friend just purchased a W.W Greener, 12 ga. ,Martini action,musket style stock, 26 "barrel. Neither of us have never seen such a gun. Can any one tell us a value range. I would rate this one in good condition for the age. Thanks

Most I'v seen sold go for from 375.00 to 600 depending on the shape it's in. Grand old guns. Enjoy.

If by musket stock you mean it is full stocked then it is a greener police gun and as such is much rarer and collectable than the standard greener gp gun.

Edit: just realised the bottom gun in my avatar is a police gun.

The cartridge case has a step in it. . you will only be able to chamber this cartridge. they were sold On the surplus market and sold as Curio's for $129.00. Original greener ammo is Rare . On the collector market appox $250 sealer. . Service armament made there own out of Plastic shells these would sell for appox $100.00 per 25

I have seen then sell for between $ 150 to as much as $ 350. I have one with a fully rifled 12 ga. barrel for shooting slugs and one that is the full length stocked Police Gun that I reamed to fire standard 12 ga. shells in. I have another action that I have a 375 cal. rifle barrel already fitted to that is a wildcat cartridge formed on 45- 100 rimmed brass, basically a rimmed 375 H&H Mag.

The action is very strong and can handle most any cartridge you can fit in it within reason.

There is a lot of information about them online and they are not really uncommon. They are well made guns for being shotguns.

Greener Police guns were manufactured with 3 different chamberings. The most common are the '12/14 bore Greener' and the standard 2 3/4" 12 bore.

That is Good Info. I have never seen one in The 12 bore only. all mine were 12/14
