Several years ago, I began using motor mica to dust lubed bullets so they could be stored and handled without getting sticky lube all over hands and work surfaces.

My tub of motor mica is about to run out. I got sticker shock when I looked at what Frankford gets for a pound of these days.

Has anyone ever used talcum powder for the same purpose. It can be had for 1/10th the price.

thanks

i havent been there for awhile but have you checked BPI for price ? ( yes sir it also works wonders on shotgun wads )

I've been told that talcum powder works wonderfully. I found this out after I bought a pound on e-bay for 20.00 but what the heck a pound goes a long way.
