i have a ruger mkII pistol that was drilled and tapped in the 90's by a military armor at camp perry, he used a tasco one piece base #7006, i want to replace it with a newer on, anyone have any idea what this base was originally intended for. i called bushnell/tasco and no help there, they refered be to abo repair in miami, as usual no help there either. hopefully someone has a old chart stuck somewhere. the local gun shop here wasn't responsive for someone going thru their bases trying to find a match and they didn't really have the time to look (they are behind the gun counter in no mans land). any help would be appreciated, thanks........

most of the ruger pistols came tapped from the factory have you tried to see if the holes line up with a factory mount?

if it is not drilled for a Ruger The next one I would check would be Remington 700 scope base, with a Part# 7006 sometimes they do tricky things like that?
