Right sling mount for a Rossi 92?

Picked up a set of the uncle mikes swivel kit at the shop yesterday, hoping it might fit. 1331-2 kit that fits Win and Marlin lever guns. Unless its supposed to slide up and down the mag tube, its just a little oversized. Is there a different one to buy, or is it not supposed to clamp firmly, or do you have to modify it?

Did you tighten the inner adjustment screw? It pushes the wings closer together.
If that does not work you may have to take some off the inside of the wing bottoms to get them a bit closer or shim the inside of the where they go around the tube.

Make a inside the ring shim using a strip of plastic or leather . . .

Yes I do know about the screw. Rossi may be using metric spec metals which screws things up. Fits US made stuff using inch specs, but not metric. Shim might work better, don't see being able to file enough metal in the thin gap to get it to work as it supposed to.

I used the same Uncle Mikes set on mine, I just made little shims with some .005" stock from a hobby shop. I used two pieces, hasn't moved in the last 3 years.
