I load 9mm, .38spl and .45 acp with bullseye. Anyone out there successfully loading big bore light loads with it? Unique and 2400 are difficult to source lately and I have plenty of BE on the shelf. I know there are always better powders for plinking loads in .44mag and .45 colt but what are you guys doing with BE and larger calibers. Just curious? Thanks.

I use 7.0gr of bullseye for plinking loads in the 44mag's pushing 240/245gr swc's or 250gr 640's/rnfp's. Either of them will do 1 1/2" groups @25yds when the loud button is hit.

I also use Bullseye with cast bullet loads in the .41 Magnum, the .44 Magnum and the .45 Colt.

I use 6 gr under the Lee 205 RF and the 240 Lee TL SWC in the .44.

My standard load for the 45 Colt is 7.3 gr BE under the Lee 200 RF for use in my SAAs and M1873 Carbine.

7 grns. of Bullseye and the Lee 200 rf is one of my favorites.

Seeker, assuming this one would work on either .44 mag or .45 colt. I have the .432 version of that Lee mold, I'll give that one a try.

Keep'em coming!

Thank you Gentlemen.

I was looking for a BE load to use with my 454-190 250 gr. in my 45 Colt - been using Red Dot and Unique. One of my old Lyman Manuals recommends 5.0 gr. of BE and the 454-190 as a good plinking load. Haven't tried it yet but hope to get some loaded up this week to try.

I like BE and use it a lot in my 38s and 9mm reloads. All I shoot is cast.

I just came in from my out back range. First time shooting Lee c300gr. rf. I loaded them over 7 grns. of Bullseye. They were pretty accurate at 25 yds but had a little more punch then I was expecting.

I am also a big user of Bullseye and Tightgroup powder in the 357 , 44 mag and 454 casull for loads up to about 1,100 fps

I really enjoy shooting 6.6 gr of Bullseye in my 41 mag. Blackhawk.
