Does the inside of a .357 case need to expanded to accept a 180 gr. .360 bullet so as not to be sized down in the .358 diameter case?? I am loading for a Marlin 1894 in .357 which needs .360 bullet using a Dillon 550-B. Should I expand the "INSIDE" of the case the length of the bullet using a Lyman "M" die as a separate step?

Thanks for your help.

Could be. Rool is - expander plug should be .002" smaller than boolit.

I didn't change the expander setting on my 550B for these. My usual alloy is about 12 Brinnell and I flirt with harder alloys for rifle specific boolits. IF it's a gas check, the brass base isn't likely to be swaged down by the casing.

The clone of LYMAN 358627 eats up some case room also. The late Dave Breen aka Neerb ordered a group buy of this mould and he died and it was returned. I got it on the site auction here. Lets remember one of our own.

Buckshot, a member here can make you the proper expander plug for your Dillon press that is used in conjunction with the powder measure. He can make to your desired diameter, so the recommended .357" above would not be a problem. You can PM Buckshot for the details on ordering.
