Not all .22cal RB's were created equal - The correct tang sight would depend upon which model RB .22 you have (#2 RB, #4 RB, #6, etc, etc).

Here's one for a No.6: http://www.rollingblockparts.com/sights.html

If you have a #4, try to source (E-Bay, etc) a vintage Lyman #2 code "U" tang sight or a Marbles R3 (code), so marked on the base underside(s).

Taylor & Co (google) carried some tang sights with shorter staffs than sights for larger CF rifles, but IDK if they still do so.

In any event, you would need to measure the C-to-C distance of the factory tang sight mounting holes in your RB - not so important if your RB's tang has no tang sight prep holes.

I actually stumbled across an old/unknown ladder-type tang sight at a funshow parts vendor, which happily fit my #4 Remington RB - so you can toe your rifle around a few shows, to see what's available there.

If you are not stuck on keeping the rifle period original, I'd give MVA a call (Montana Vintage Arms) and get a schuetzen staff tang sight. Tell them your C to C distance and they will send you the correct base for it.

Post a photo of your rifle, someone here can probably identify it. Here is one of mine, a #2 with Marbles tang sight. The #2 is easily recognized by the curved mating surface between the receiver and buttstock. Alll other models are straight.
