Marlin 1894 Ejector

Early 80's model Marlin 1894 .44 mag ejector broke today. Looking for suggestions as to which one to buy and where. I see most now list one that looks quite different from my original and have a protrusion on the end against the receiver/away from the breach. My receiver doesn't have a hole through to accept it. Can it be worked down and used?
