A 100-year old WWII pilot visiting a Colorado air museum found the old P-38 Lightning he flew in the South Pacific... the chance encounter is military history in and of itself, but now the old pilot wants one more trip to the cockpit of his old ship that saved his life during the war.

Thats pretty cool! I hope he gets a ride. I would love to hear some of his stories, but I bet he does not talk about the War. Theres not many of those guys left.

Very nice. My FIL is a WW2 P-51 pilot, had never seen one since the late 40s in Japan until
a couple of years ago, went to an air show. We have old pics of him with his plane and now
current pics of him with a different one.

Finding the same aircraft so many years later is amazing.

Hi gents,
the gentleman looks and sounds to be in excellent shape. A target for all of us to shoot for... There's the man who represents the men and women who made and fought for our country. His like is not found in the beltway, just a bunch of greedy traitors...

Way cool! So much history that is not being taught to the current generation makes me sad...

Wow, what are the odds? I wonder if any of the other planes he flew still exist? I wonder how long he's been looking for one of his old planes? I sure hope he gets one more ride.
