Rolling block build question

I want to build a BPCR rifle, thinking 38-55 or 40-65. I have a line on a pretty sweet antique rolling block 16 gauge shotgun. The obvious question is can I have a rifle barrel installed on a shotgun platform? Is it just that easy? TIA.

Not sure on the shotgun action, may be diffrent threads and dia, to make the barrel stub big enough for the shotgun barrel. Another thing to check on is the etractor for it in the desired caliber. Rolling Blocks are great rifles and very accurate when right.

Probably have to bush the firing pin hole and make a new smaller diameter firing pin for it also.
