I already have a FN Lyman 321297 , but I am wondering if they ever offered it in the HP version and if so did they make many ?
My present 321297 in a single cavity , I am thinking if I can find a nice double cavity 321297 maybe I will have the single made into a HP [smilie=1:

Chances are Lyman made some in HP form. IIRC it was $3-5.00 for HP when you ordered from the factory back in the good old days. If you can find and afford a 2 banger, I'm sure Brother Buckshot could HP that single for you. Every model I've seen lately is pushing the $100.00 mark!!!

I've never seen one but with Lyman's policy of HPing any mould they made, it's possible.
I made one and it's a fine mould for both the .32 Special and .32-40.
Buckshot could convert one really quick./beagle

I've also been considering this idea with the 338320 for my 33 WCF .
I already have a nice double cavity 338320 , so all I would need to do is find a decent single cavity !

Lyman "Handbook of Cast Bullets" from the '50s had a pretty complete listing of moulds in current and past production at the time. They do not list a hollow point version of the 321297.
A couple of hollow point versions of plain base moulds were listed for the .32 Special and .32-40...none for the gas checked.
Don't know Lyman's policy on custom moulds at the time, but would appear that any hollow-pointed 321297 would have been a custom job.

Yes, Lyman made a hollow-point version of the 321297. I've got one in the basement for the .32 Special. IIRC, they offered hollow point versions of almost any single cavity that wasn't hollow-based. There was a modest price increase over the standard version. Most are getting hard to find now.

Well I just tried to get a double cavity 321297 with handles off Ebay . Ran the darn thing up to 88 bucks and some change . And of course I did not get it
It's at $89.67 now and there's still about 30 minutes left !
