A friend of mine recently gave me a old rcbs neck sizing die with no instructions. Do you set them up the same way as a regular fl die. Also in the box is a small spring , a small collar(one end is closed smaller than the other) and a metal stud(bigger on one end than the other) . What are these for? THANKS

I set up the neck die by putting the brass in the holder, run the ram all the way up, screw the die down until it touches the case. I then use mica,or baby powder on the neck and drop the ram a little, then screw the die in, raise the ram and see where it sized the neck. Repeat this process until the die goe on the neck as far as you want it to. There should be no shoulder pressure from the die until you have gone to far. The die will leave a mark in the powder that is easy to see.

The other parts as explained would probably be the small or large primer cup and ram with the spring that goes into the primer arm to change sizes of primers.
