I recently purchased a box of molds and this was in it, the item with the adjustable core pin has thin rubber covering handles, I can't see that this item can be used for any period of time as the handles would probably melt, the only markings on it are 2 numbers 44 & 45. It had a tag on it which reads, CAST ADJ WEIGHT LEAD SLUG.
The other item which is also unmarked has 3 holes for mounting it on a table, the base has a hole in it as does the handle. It has a tag on it which reads CUTS LEAD RODS TO LENGTH. Apparently you align the holes then operate the handle to cut a lead rod?
But what is it used for? Does it having anything to do with bullet casting?
thanks BOB

Looks like a lead wire cutter and a core mould for swedging bullets.

Urny is right; the top item (first two photos) is a core cutter for snipping off lengths of lead wire to be swaged into half-jacket or other types of bullets; it looks like C-H manufacture. The second item (photos 3 & 4) is a core mould to produce the same thing by casting .44 or .45 swaging cores in pure lead; I don't recognize the maker. I doubt the handles would get hot enough to harm the plastic. I'd be interested in the core cutter, as I was about to go looking for one; could take both if the price is right - and, of course, if you are interested in selling them. If so, drop me a PM.

That second core mould looks like one I bought from Herters many years ago.
