I managed to recover one of these boolits the other day. It's a Accurate 432-300 fired at about 1050 fps from my 4' Redhawk. Not easy to do, as aspen trees and just about every target backer around can't stop'em. It took lots of water to get the thing stopped intact.

It's the big guy on the right.
The recovered boolit had some "weirdness" with the rifling marks. Don't know enough to be able to tell if it's a cylinder misalignment, poor fit in the throat, or what, but the engraved markings from the rifling seem off. What do you gents think?

I'm mostly wondering about the marks that look like they're from lands well up the nose of the boolit. I assume that comes from the cartridge laying at the bottom of the chamber at the instant of ignition. The other thing I wonder about is the "trapezoidal" or non-parallel look to the groove markings.
Any input is welcome, thanks.
