I got a new PID this week and it works great. To hold the probe I simply used a couple loops of wire. It worked - sorta, but I wasn't satisfied with it. So this afternoon I took some scrap and made something better. I took some round stock and bored a 3/8" hole through it. Then welded it to a piece of flat stock and bored the hole through that too. I had to take the Mag 20 pot apart to remove the nut and bolt to mount it. Not a big deal, but it took a few extra minutes. Now I have a stable probe holder that keeps it upright, yet is easily removable.
