I had a Ruger No.3 rebarrelled and chambered for the .327 Federal Magnum. Barrel is a Douglas #6 varmint, 26", 1/12 twist. Will be using a semi-spitzer, 170 gr. plain base cast boolit that will be breech seated.
I have been thinking of using Alliant MP-300 powder as a starting powder but can't find any data for a starting load in the.327 Fed. Mag.
Looking for opinions on the MP-300 or another favorite powder loading data. Looking for MV around 1,500 fps.
The Ruger was built for 200 yd. bench rest shooting. I know some of you are ASSRA members and have probably seen a similar post with little feedback.
