I would knock the shine back a bit on the wood, but I like the looks of it.

It has a .357 bore, so I have a few chambering to choose from, that shine won't last long.

Looks like it was once a high wall winder musket except for the 357 caliber. Hit the finish with some 4/0 steel wool. Will knock back the shine. Or try some pumice or rotten stone with a little kerosene of an old t shirt. Frank

.35 WCF sounds like fun, The easy to get brass version is the .35 Krag (necked up .30-40) I believe.

Considered a 35 Krag, but will have to make a reamer, thinking about a .357 mag and a re-chamber later. This project is the finish to a post that is on page 15 under Stevens

my opinion. i would think twice before changing . you have a real classic there . did you do a chamber cast. . you might be surpised on the True caliber and the value

I have no idea of the value, that one is special to me because I milled the action and parts from bar stock, the barrel was a rough blank, and the wood came from a local saw mill, sights and butt plate are salvage pieces. the color case didn't come out the best but it has a hardened surface and is usable. sorry if I mislead anyone, this is just a hobby of mine and I enjoy sharing it, thanks again B.T.

I had no idea Winchester had ever made a "Standard Carbine" on the 1885 action, but I am in awe of your skills to make your own rifles.

I'm still in the thinking stages of making a Page-Lewis .22. Of course with the cost of .22 ammo these days, I am thinking of making something suitable for a small center fire round instead.

No one is sure of the amount made, probably 50 or less, very rare. More filing than skill, Start on that Page Lewis, it's a good feeling to build something that lasts, everything that I ever made in the shops has been in the junk yards for years. Thanks, and good luck. B.T.

Pretty cool. Itd be pretty sweet to chamber for 357 magnum in my opinion.
