Has anyone ever loaded this caliber with AA#9 and a 175 gr. cast bullet? If so what results? thanks. JerryW

Yes, I have had good results with WC820, it's cousin and 180 gr boolits. My load was under 15 grains and the sweet spot was at 1500 fps. Gianni

Yes, 16 gr's WC820 in a 10" Contender and with an 185gr Lee boolit. After the first 15 I didn't think I could shoot all 50 of the ones I loaded, but I managed to do it gradually. My wrist is better now, but I don't think I'm going to do that again. I found the load like the one you want on CastPics. Stan

I use 12-12.5 grains of AA#9 with 31141 ~170 grains and it shoots ~1 1/2" averages for 5 five shot 100 yard groups. You other guys use more than I find comfortable to shoot, and I can't find better accuracy up there.
