I love this round and love that Ruger is chambering it in a bunch of different handguns. The more they sell the greater the chance someone will chamber it in a lever action. But this one has no appeal to me. Barrel is to short but I'm not looking to start a ballistics debate. I think it's a great round, just not in a LCR.

I would really like to see the .327 in an SP101 with 3" or 4" barrel. T think they would sell well.

There is a 4.2" version that resides in my safe. The trigger is god awful. And the finishing job is very poor. But I still like shooting it :)

Only pic I could find of it.

Outpost75, did you mean an LCR?

That's what I want.

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/11/24/ruger-lcrx-3-barrel/

With the hammer, with 3 inch barrel, without the weight.

If everything that wasn't plastic or aluminum was stainless, I could use it as my river gun (I do a lot of kayaking).

The one in Jupiter7's post is the one I have.

This one might finally get folding money out of me, and prompt a brass purchase. I'm otherwise tooled up for 32 revolvers already. I'm not sure how long I could live with that Raybar front sight, though......about 15 minutes is my current estimate. It looks to be lodged with a 3/8" dovetail, a condition that makes replacement uncomplicated. These orange bar sight things are the Poly-Choke of the 21st Century in my eyes.

I'm turning into my grandfather.......whatta curmudgeon.

I sure like my Single Seven. Seems to me there was a 101 in .327 in the cabinet when I got mine. Been smacking steel at 300 yards with it, regular. Can't wait to shoot up al this factory stuff so I can start loading it.

Same with a 357, but just like a 357 just because it can shoot it doesn't mean it has to. Have other good options too :-)

If they release a .327 in the LCRx, i'll be all over that like a bin ladin crane on a holy mosque!

I think I need that longer barrel SP101 in .327 and don't know why I didn't see that one when it was released... I could see doing the LCR in .327 too though. Let Rossi fart out a R92 carbine in .327 and the circle would be complete.

love my Ruger LCR 357 because of its smaller size and lighter weight. I special load .357's with a tad over 38 +p power when I carry it =but= it can also shoot full power 357 magnum rounds

I went ahead and did that message the CEO thing on the Ruger website and told them to make it in LCR-X 3 inch hammered version with adjustable sights.

A guy can dream, can't he?

I picked up the SP101 4" as well. I agree with your comment on the trigger, I wish Ruger could make it as nice as the LCR. As far as finish, the one on the shelf at my LGS had a rough spot on it so I had them order another one in. This one is perfect, I couldn't be happier. Now I need time in the shop to put my new Accurate mold to work and wring this beautiful revolver out.
Thank you Ruger for keeping 327 Fed alive!

Ain't that the truth! The trigger is horrible out of the box. I'm going to polish things up a bit on mine this winter.

After shooting an LCR in .357/.38, I'm not terribly impressed with the platform, so I doubt I'll pick one of these up, but who knows.

Considering that I just bought a BH in .327 for dirt cheap, I'm good on my .327s for a bit....or so I say.

I hope that Ruger or somebody comes out with some better grips for it. The nearly complete lack of grip choices has kept me from buying an LCR.

I've said to myself for a while now that I'd buy a J-frame sized double action only 327 if it were a six shot. Ruger is handing me exactly what I wanted but threw me a curve with the LCR. I'm pretty old school but I don't read anything bad about them. Just to be contrary I'd put wood grips on it.

All that said, how does the 327 do in a short barrel? I've been messing with it quite a bit in a 5-1/2" single action but would guess a 2" would be a whole different ballgame.

Would be pretty much like a two inch .30 carbine, no? They should port it just to enhance the sonic experience for the guy who hip fires it.
