I was looking for that thread yesterday, knowing it existed, and didn't see it. I suspect "Gunsite Carbine" and "Scout" didn't click in my head.

I still love my 18" lefty Scout. I don't care for the factory steel mag, but I have every size of the Ruger plastic mag and like them alot. Mine's done pretty well on a diet of almost exclusively cast boolits from 155gr to 200gr.
