Over 1/2 a page of stickies truly draws down any posts. or to say sucks in any forum.

There should be a time limit or something as the SUCK!!

My computer has a great feature. At the bottom of the page, I can click on 2 and it takes me to the next page. lol

Just kidding, I know where you are coming from as far as lots of stickies go, but they have and serve a purpose too.

I believe that no one should be allowed to post until they have read 200+ pages of stickies.

but how do you decide which ones stay and which ones go?
if I read through them and removed the ones I know [the information] already you'd have about 1/3 the amount, if someone that's been casting for a month reads them we'd have more.
someone else would remove them all.
[shrugging]

if we put them all in one area nobody would read through any of them.
SSSsssooo??

They are obviously not for you...they are for others.

if they put them in their own forum that would be nice... but alas per the Mod's comment above it likely won't happen.

They are helpful when looking something up quickly. Most stupid questions i have are answered in stickys in the appropriate section

One thing about a forum that gets to be the size of this one......there seems to be an ENDLESS supply of tiny yet LIFE threatening things for someone to complain about.

This comes up every month or so. I'm in your camp, but you're pushing on a rope.

Yep, and there is a simple solution to the problem but they won't do it. Put links for all the stickies in one thread and pin it to the top of that forum. If you're a member of an automotive forum this is how almost all of them do it. But this takes work on the moderators part. It still wouldn't take long to do and would clean up the mess.

It takes less than a second to scroll down to the new posts! Each section of the forum has stickys pertinent to that section. What is the big deal? The sticky can be a quick assist to someone new here. I say we are fine just the way we are!

Never difficult when one is argumentative and negative.
