I'm debating a 460. Barrel ranging from the 10.5", 12" no break and the 14" with break. Thoughts on any of these? Pros/cons of one vs the other? I know early models with the 8" barrel came with a comp for lead and one for jacket. Does that make a diff on the 10.5 or the 14?

I have one with the 8 & 3/8 " barrel with the comp. It's a load to shoot full power 350+ gr bullets. It's fun but I get recoil weary after 20 rounds. I like shooting 265 gr cast gc's stepped down a little. Fun to shoot, still a bunch of power & not so hard on the extremities! It's also a very loud gun!

Very loud with huge BOOM factor on the line. I dont have a long barrel model but I appreciate the break! You could always take it off and use a thread protector if you dont want to use it

I also had a 8 3/8" and I'll echo exactly what the others said. The 8 3/8" is the longest I think that still resembles the potability of a revolver. Longer and they become more like a repeating encore pistol in size. I dated a girl who's dad had the long barrel custom shot 2 piece barrel one and he hunted with it. I miss mine and should have kept it.....
