One of the best "rifle" calibers for "pistol" projectiles. ... felix

200gr RCBS FP works good in my 35 rem contender

So does the 360x180gr FP from a GB.

Normaly the bullets will be to loose for the bore, you may be able to play around with it, but it would be challanging. They are very light for the 35 rem, it like heavy bullets, case life is real short with light bullets.

I've had excellent results with pistol bullets, and success is dependant upon the bullet being adequately fit to the barrel. Particularly with Microgroove barrels, bullet size must be on the plus side for good results.

It is possible to go over your collection of pistol bullet moulds that you might have and select those that throw the largest diameter bullet. SWC and RF designs are most compatible.

Modest charges of fast pistol/shotgun or fast rifle powders like 2400 and 4227 will produce the best results.

The .35 Remington is a good fit with pistol bullets as long as you find bullets that fit. Try .359 to .360" if possible. If none of your moulds throws a bullet of that diameter beagle them and give that a try.

My 35 Remington runs 357 same as my pistols and most of the ones I have checked run 357-359. This isn't loose with a jacketed slug and most of my moulds drop at 359-360 so I don't have a problem. For plinking I use a Saeco plain base 180 rnfp and for tougher varmits I can boost a GC cast slug up to 1900 fps pretty easy. In jacketed slugs the 125 bullets make a dandy varmit load and they explode when they hit.
