My paps and his first muzzle loader elk. His last elk with a centerfire was 23 YEARS ago!

Bravo for your pops and great vid. Sometimes a simple and good thing can make an older man smile. It was good that you hunted with him. Just think back when you were a kid and how he made you smile once or twice.

Tell your paps congratulations on his excellent shot.
After many years of my father taking me hunting I have been taking him for many years it is more fun to see
him drop a deer than when I do.
His last shot with his MK85 was 118 yards a fat doe dropped and did not get up.

My dad left the house one afternoon - loaded his pickup with personal items - strapped four water saddle-bags to the front bumper and drove away heading out from Michigan, to San Francisco. Our family never saw him after that 1960 calendar date and I was only eight years-old at the time. Our family broke-up six months later and all five remaining kids were split-up amongst relatives. Even my mother was forced to live under a different roof than I.

A call came to my sister's home twenty three years later, in 1983, stating dad died in a California apartment fire.

Treasure all those moments with your dad Jonathan. You are a lucky dawg to have him so active and by your side for such a long time.
