Question about Herters Super 3 press

I just purchased a Herters Super 3 press from a member here on the board. The press came with a shell holder attachment but when I put my shell holders in the press they are very loose; does this press take special shell holders?

Herters Presses Take Herters Shell holder . You can Get a herters adaptor This will Take The Regular snap in But you will not be able to prime If you have The Herters primer arm. The Hole On the New snap in's are too small.. Originals are cheap. between 8-10 each depending on Caliber. If You want to use The snap in to prime . you can Get an entire Change Over From Gerry Schwartz in in Myrtle point OR Ph 5415720323
I have delt with Him a lot and makes custom Shell holders

Your press is a nice stout bit of machinery!

My advice is get the adapter so you can use regular shell holders.

Then prime on either a hand or bench primer!

Big heavy presses are really not the best to prime on as there is not much "feel"! Just sayin!
