I couldn't help myself. It was blue, it had wood grips, it said Smith on the barrel. Finally own a K-22 to match my K-32. I had to resort to a credit card.:( It's the only K-22 I've seen in 10 years. Decent shape, a little holster wear, a ding here and there. Looks like it could use a forcing cone freshining, but we'll see how it shoots first.

Did I mention I have no shame? A credit card! Buyers remorse is setting in.....[smilie=b:

We have a k-22 in "deep storage" for a very old case. I put a bug in the boss's ear that we could "auction" it and get a fair price for it.......we shall see if he decides to do it.

Buying a gun is a fair use of credit. No remorse.

Good job Bret! There is something very special about a K-22. I think everybody should have one. And I can think of no better use of a credit card.

I was under the distinct impression that this was what credit cards are for.........was I wrong?? Maybe this is why my wife is always mad at me??

That's great.

Sometimes we forget how much fun a 22 can be.

I could be wrong but for the most part I bet none of us here NEED another gun. But when I find one I relly WANT I'm like a kid in a candy store. No remorse.

A superb .22 revolver. Is it a 3-, 4- or 5-screw?

5 screw, dates to 1952.

Think of all the money you'll save on ammo! That centerfire stuff is pricey these days.:Fire:

218bee I don't know what you are talking about. I know of about 4 or 5 guns that I REALLY NEED. Worked for my #1 son when he was about 2 1/2 years old at the toy aisle of the grocery store. If it worked for him it should work for me. Right now I know of no store that has a gun that I NEED, at least til after income taxes are paid.

So... Ya gonna cast for it? This IS a cast bullet website.

I don't have a K-32, nor a K-22. I do have two M-16-4s (.32 H&R Mag.), a 6" and a 4". I also have two M-48-4s (.22 WMR), both at 6". I had one of them fitted up with a .22LR cylinder. It's more accurate with the .22LR cylinder than it is with the .22 Magnum cylinder. I've shot countless jackrabbits with the first one, both with the magnum and LR cyinders. One of these days I'll have to send the other one back to S&W and have a LR cylinder fitted to it, as well.

One day I'd like to have a K-32 (.32 S&W Long), but I'm not holding my breath.

Gotta love 'em.

Regards,

Stew

No casting Stew, but I do have a home made jig to form a flat nose on cheapo 22 ammo. Seems to make 'em fly better and they sure hit harder! I have the K-32 and a 4" 48 that dotes on 22WRF ammo. I also have a spare Cyl assy and crane to make it into a 22 lr but time hasn't allowed my to pursue that yet.

This Smiff collecting is a fun.
