Just got back from the gunsmiths

Just got back from the gunsmiths I took my K31 rifle to him to check it out. He said I got a good one the bore is mint (Checked it out with a bore scope) and nice walnut wood. He likes milsurps and Now that he seem mine he said he had to order one. He was kicking it around but mine convinced him he should get one. He has a lot of really nice Mausers in his collection a few nice Mosin Nagants and a couple of Enfields. I think a K31 would add nicely to his collection. As far as cast bullets go the only 30 cal mould I own is a Ideal 311407 will that work ok for the K31 I suppose it will have to be sized 309 from what I read on the old site. Jim

Try it at .311 then size some to .310 and .309 and see which one shoots best mine likes them sized .310 out of stright wheel weights. It shoots better than I can hold it.

My K31 sized out at .295 x .307, so I'll start at .309 diameter. Starting at .311, without knowing your bore diameter, seems just a little on the large size. Especially considering that the K31's seem to come in a little on the smaller side.

However you go, I'll be very interested in your results. :)
