I just got my new LEE 8mm 175gr. mold, with the new vent line design on top, and the NEW left-hand thread on the screw for the sprue cutter. Neat! The cutter stays tight.

Prepped as per LEE's included instructions (WHY can't people follow them???) the mold cast like a dream right from the start. Boolits cast of plain COWWs are within dia. and weight tolerances. It now joins all it pals on the shelf. A great bang for your buck. Highly recommended.

I just tried a new 10mm mold, my first of the new style. It has been great so far.

I like the new 8mm as well.

Is it the same 175gr 8mm Round nose mold or did they just update the mold blocks to their new standard which I do like (I have a 2-cavity in 45ACP 200gr SWC that casts great)?

Looked at end-on, the mold blocks are T-shaped, not rectangular as of old.

new mold, old design ;) I like the improvements. You got my hopes up for a 175gr FN ;)

I am hopeful they will lop the nose off of the 7 and 8 mm bullet design like they did the .30 to make a nice flat point out of it. I agree about the new block design, so far all have been good.

I know they can do it as their 8mm Karabiner and Max molds have flatpoints.
