Please don't tempt me Lube . I need these in my collection. I would like to hang my molds on the wall and display the actual press in front of them. Maybe not though. Wifey already is givin the evil eye !!! :-?

Wonder where the real molds are? Or were they sand molds that was destroyed every time?

That looks like the wood pattern to make the sand mold.

I wondered how they made the sand molds. It never occurred to me that wooden patterns were used.

On a related note, did you see this current eBay auction for a Hollywood Super Turret press? I can't believe that it is currently bid up to $2,524.99 with 31 bids! Yikes!

Why not use the mold to make them? Give the press a patina and cash in ;)

Nothing I have is for sale. I just enjoy the beauty of tools even though now have regressed to using a simple single stage press. The only tool that makes me sorry I did not get it earlier is an electronic scale/powder dispenser. I touch and inspect each cartridge multiple times every loading which takes time but makes me feel safer. Might be stupid, but one knows what one has and I enjoy the process and make the time.

Oddly today I went out to buy a electronic camera and was stunned they were very expensive. Maybe the only cameras that now sell are expensive models as everyone else uses a phone camera. Let the camera go as it was ridiculously expensive and don't have a camera on my phone - an old simple cheap thing that works good enough.

don't know offhand. It sits at a cottage I have not gone to for a while. Actually it sits on a shelf in my reloading room and taking it down is difficult because of he weight and position at the end of the shelf which is hard to reach. I recently hurt my right arm. Lifting a cooking pan or a bottle of rolled oats hurts. Hard to imagine that taking a couple pound container out of a cabinet takes both hands. It is not a substantial problem. It will repair itself, but makes me feel ridiculous until it does.
