View Full Version : anyone make and shoot 308 half jackets?

Just picked up a c-h swagomatic, couple thousand 110 gr. cores, half jackets, and a core cutter just wondering if any of you guys shoot these? I guess i can make any weight i want, any experiences appreciated. thanks ahead of time...denny

I have three different designs, CH, Corbin, and some no-name. All work great for both my .30 Carbines as well as 7.62x25 and 7.63x25. Two are RN one is a SWC design. The SWC is my favorite punches good holes and smacks the hell out of little 4 legs.

I just started making a neat 85gr swc half jacket for my 7.62x25 using a Swag-o-matic. I'm using 50BMG primers with the anvil removed for a half jacket and casting a 257420 to drop inside the annealed primer cup. I made and fired about 20 today and they are working pretty good.
