Looking for some load data for 30-06, shooting a Rem 700 ADL.

I am shooting Speer hot cor SPTZ J-words and I have a box of 165 gn Sierra HPBT
J-words that I'd like to load next.

With the Speer J words I am using 48.1 gn of RL-15. I have one can of this powder left and want to use it up before trying something else.

I shoot this bench rested at a 100 yard range. Three shot groups then run a patch or two through. The patches have been coming out very black. I'm thinking reducing the load would help? I see a lot of IMR powders are used for this cal. Any feedback would be great.

Found some load data on the inter web from Sierra 5th edition reloading manual using RE-15 (which I am assuming is the same as RL-15). It appears my loads were on the upper end of the spectrum.

That was my most used bullet in my `06 model 70 using IMR-4350 powder for many years. Sorry that I don`t have any RL-15 data to offer as the `06 went down the road quite a few years back.Robert

I burn a lot of 4895 in my 06. From powder puff loads to 42 grains it is very consistent and clean. Almost like it was made for the purpose;)

Hornady 8th edition has 50.0gr max with RL-15 and this edition is usually pretty conservative.

The 06' is very much like the .308 when it comes to powder choices as in there are many that will perform well.

The 06' does well with some of the slower burning powders too like IMR-4831 and of course IMR-4350. One of my all time favorites is W-760. If you use a powder dispenser like a RCBS Uniflow they throw ball type powder like W-760 very accurately.
