What's your favorite pistol mount? Going on a 14" 35rem.

Weaver base and rings. Had to have the screw holes enlarged to #8 for my 444 Marlin barrel but no problems with lighter calibers. I always try each screw seperately in the base to make sure it is clamping the base to the barrel like it should. Have found some screws that had to be shortened a little to work properly.

I also prefer the Weaver base and rings. I use 3 rings on my 44 Mag barrel though. The Leupold base and rings also works quite well but the ring spacing is somewhat limiting depending on the scope turret positions.

I have a T/C Contender in 375 Winchester that has a 10" barrel with a Burris 2-7X scope that sheared the recoil lugs off a set of Leupold rings with the Warne base, now it has two sets of Warne rings and stays put.

Leupold did send me a new set of recoil lugs and the rings are now on another gun.

Went with the dual dovetail Leopold mount and rings cause I liked the way they looked. Pretty easy install and added a ring alignment and lapping tool to the toolbox. I have a 185g cast bullet that does 1850ish with 2400, factory 200g does about the same but kicks a whole lot more. Hopefully the cast round doesn't beat it up too much.

Red Field makes a nice three ring mount

Leupold bought the Redfield name a few years ago and does market scopes marked as Redfield but Leupold bases are listed on the Redfield website.

Groo here
SSK Tsob is the best but usually needed only for the heavy kickers.
The biggest factor is scope tube bend , that is what the 3or4 rings are for.
As the gun kicks up,the end of the scope bend down,if not supported the glass will shatter.

I have a few Stratton Custom steel bases with 15oz scope using 2 Warne QD rings and they have held up just fine to 1050-1400ft/lbs of muzzle energy for thousands of rounds. I might have saved some weight with some less-complicated alloy Talleys.

I like the weaver style and use either rifleman rings or the weaver 4x4. 22lr to 45-70. Never had an issue.
The main thing is to make sure you have the bottoms of the screw holes cleaned out. I have seen guys mount bases and just tighten them down and go. Check each screw in each hole, by its self and make sure it is not bottoming out.

The old T/C Duomounts were slick. Made for the gun when craftsmanship counted. They are my preference, but really you wouldn't go wrong with the suggestions from these other guys.
