Anyone here have experience with this cast bullet in the old 25-35? It looks like it should be a good shooter for plinking and small game in the 94 Winchesters, especially the old timers that a guy would like to take it easy on the barrel with.
If any of you guys shoot them in the 25-35 I would like to hear from you. ACK450

ACK450: That # should do you well in your 25/35.. I'm happy with it in my sav99 and WIn94 25/35s,and in the stevens 425 and the Rem 14's in 25 Rem...Yet to try in 250/3000 but have high hopes..Enjoy ,Onceabul

I have a 25-36 Marlin which is pretty much the same as a 25-35 WIN .

Anyway I use the old Lyman/Ideal 257325 mould . This is a round nose 111 grain GC design . I also recently acquired a NEI #21 mould that is actually a 114 or 115 grain FN GC design .
NEI also has a #23 which is a 110 grain FN GC design . I am considering one of these as well !

I've tried these bullets with intentions of using them for deer ! Well all accept the NEI #23 .

If I'm not mistaken the RCBS 25-100 GC is a non cataloged mould .

And usually they are about $100 new !

Yeah, it's a non-cataloged item but you see them on E-bone occasionally. I use a 25-100-FN and a HP version in my .25/35 and it's the best bullet I've shot. I've HP'd one cavity and that makes it even better. Using it in a 336 Marlin rebarrelled with a Douglas 1-10 twist/beagle

I've the RCBS 25-100 GC for years in my Model 64 25-35. I use 22grs 3031 and get about 2" groups at 100 yards. I use air cooled WW's and have no leading problems:-D

Thanks a bunch guys! I think i will go ahead and play around with this bullet in my old model 94 carbine. It is old (1904) and I just don't want to shoot anymore jacketed bullets in it, but didn't know where to start charge-wise and what powder, for best accuracy @ about 1500-1600 fps. Thanks again, and good shooting to all. Ain't this cast bullet stuff fun!!! ACK450

Hi,

I have a Stevens 425 High Power #4837 in .32 Rem and I am trying to put together a list of known 425 series High Power guns with their serial numbers and calibers. If you have one (and/or know of others) would you please post the serial number and caliber. I'll also start a new thread about this.

Thanks!

Peter

For what they go for on Ebay you're better off buying it new from RCBS!
