Glock vs Springfield XD - 45 ACP

Which one will feed more bullet shapes?

Or Smith & Wesson MP.

And sorry, not asking about 1911 versions. I like to have a large capacity magazine and plastic frame.

Plunk test always done and etc.

I bought a FN FNP - and have less than stellar bullet feeding - cannot even feed a HG68....please no comments.

Thanks

Geoff

can't say about Glock, but my xd45c feeds about anything I throw at it.

my xds .45 is a bit more finicky. It will not feed the HG68 either, I've been meaning to get the chamber for it reamed for cast, but have not yet.

However, I THINK the Glock has a little less support in the chamber than the XD.

Correction: it will feed it, but just won't chamber it.

XDS .45 - I got one and fired HG68 (some ones i have from Colt GC) - it was not an extensive test.

Cylindersmith (spelling...Doug....) - I sent him my XDS 45 barrel - I believe he needed a carbide reamer to touch the throat...

My XD45 will not reliably feed SWCs I've tried 2 different ones. Playing with OAL can make them work about 90%. I believe the XDm has a little protrusion made into the slide to help with the problem.

I haven't tried any TCs, I have had no issue with any RN, or HPs. No exp with Glock 45s.

The onlyexperience I have is with a Glock 30. Fed swc just fine, but empty case got hung up on next round in mag. Changed to Lyman 452488 and Rcbs 45-201 swc and life was good. Apparently the smallish shoulder on the rcbs boolit allowed the empty case to slide on by, whereas the rather large shoulder from the commercial swc was catching the rim of the empty.

My XDS has been used with jacketed ball and a comercial 200gr SWC with no feeding issues. One strange thing I did notice is that I had some split case mouths with the XDS. 3 out of 50 for the XDS and 0 out of 50 for the 1911.

Early XDs had a serious issue with SWCs, no longer due to slide "bump".

My Glock 21 feeds 250 gr SWC just fine.
