A widow asked me to come look at some of her husband's reloading equipment, I purchased what I felt I would use which was an RC II press and an Ideal #55 powder measure. She also has a custom RCBS 2 die set for 375-338, and a custom CH 3 die set for 30-338. I am wondering if any of you fine folks would know an approximate value for these, I would greatly appreciate it, they appear to be in excellent shape, and I would like to get them sold for her if possible.

They are literally worth whatever someone will pay. Best bet is to put them on the bay, eBay, that is. Finding someone who needs those particular calibers won't be easy.

That was exactly what I was thinking, looks lie they were expensive new, but like you say, they are worth what someone is willing to pay.

Those custom die sets may be worth more if they can be paired with the custom rifles they were providing ammo for.

I think the 30-338 is the same as a .308 norma magnum? I make mine from 300 win mag brass.

I checked a loading manual today, and found there are a couple of differences between the 308 norma and the 30-338. They are definitely not the same. I hope I haven't messed up somebody on this. I should have checked before I opened my big mouth.

Good catch! Yeah, the 338 case was one of the original "short mags" which included the 458 Win, 7mm Remington, the 264 Win and the 338. The Norma case is longer, like the 300 Win.

As for value, they will probably be hard to sell. There is not much demand for these caliber dies. I would probably put them on E-Bay with no reserve and see what happens.
