If .45 Nut doesn't mind, I'll post this to both Shooters.com and Cast Boolits. It's appropriate for both and will be seen by more people if posted in both places. This might even qualify as a "Sticky", but I'll leave that to the moderator.

Those of you who have young children accompanying you while you handload, cast or shoot must provide them with eye protection. Not to do so is inexcusable. The problem is in finding safety glasses that properly fit grade school age kids. The "Home Depot" or "Lowes" $5-6 glasses are fine for adults, but have too many gaps around the face when worn by youngsters.

I just ordered some "elementary school" size glasses from a science supply center in New York. $5.85 per pair and the SHIPPING IS FREE! If you only buy one pair you're pretty much paying for the shipping and getting the goggles for free. Either way, there's no longer any excuse for not supplying safety glasses for the young kids, or excluding them from your activities because you can't find the right goggles for them.

Here's the URL to the child-sized safety glasses sold by the science supply company, Science Kit & Boreal Laboratories:

I agree totally. Safety if No. 1 and our kids and grandkids eyes are very precious. Thanks for the info. Mac

Thank you Stew. I'm a stickler for eye protection and would have loved to have smaller glasses for the kids a few years ago. May order a couple pairs any way since the youngest could still use a better fit.

Don't forget those tender young ears either.
